Skipping along the stone steps, (Y/N) twirled and hopped, humming a sweet song on her lips, blissfully unaware –or perhaps unbothered– of a villain rushing full speed towards her.

The villain’s hand was centimeters before ripping her head off-

“Scratch that, Author-chan. I take full control of my story here.”

Digital sparks started rapidly consuming the villain, compressing the poor human into a digital file, corporealized as a cube. Dropping into her hands, (Y/N) smirked.

“And it’s another day of breaking the fourth wall,” she laughed to herself and kept on her usual skipping– or after that encounter, patrolling the streets, collecting unsuspecting villains as Pokèmon, before releasing them all on the tippy-top of Mount Fuji once she decided it was time.

After she finished patrolling, (Y/N) sat down on a nearby bench. The streets were deserted, much to no one’s surprise (it was work hours for most citizens, considering it was also a more rural area).

“Hmm… Are there any major events I should attend this month?...” (Y/N) muttered as a navy hologram popped up before her, prompting her to start scrolling through the list of events.

“Aha! Of course, the entrance exam for UA! How could I forget… But then again, I could just hack their crappy firewall and put my name into the accepted list,” she sighed. After considering her options, (Y/N) decided to attend anyway. Better safe than sorry.

Arriving at the steel gates of UA that glimmered welcomingly in the sun— or rather, to (Y/N), unforgivingly— (Y/N) sighed. She stepped through the gates and into the waiting area, where swarms of people were.

‘Annoying people… Always so shove-y and salty when it comes to something they want…’ (Y/N) thought, shaking her head, ‘Well, whatever. Can’t help it. Might as well choose a more secluded and people-less place to stand.’

After waiting for a minute or two, a blaring voice came from the speakers, with the speaker standing in the front– and who was none other than Present Mic himself.

He explained that all the contestants had ten-something minutes ((Y/N) wasn’t listening, she just wanted to get it over with) to legally murder a ton of faux villains that gave points, and all the contestants listened concentratedly. After Present Mic finished talking, silence decided to be a nice guy and blanketed the audience. One could practically hear crickets chirping happily in the background.

(Y/N) innerly groaned at everyone. She knew that in the crowd was a green-haired boy named Izuku Midoriya, a brown-haired girl named Ochaco Uraraka, another boy named Katsuki Bakugo, and another boy named Tenya Iida. They were all going to be in the main cast of characters.

(Y/N) knew she should be running to fight the villains to get a headstart, maybe earn a few brownie points with the judges watching the entire thing, but she didn’t want to seem suspiciously smart.

Well, she’d get a headstart after finding and befriending Midoriya. She had nothing to worry about, after all. She could erase everything here from existence with a touch, a snap of her fingers, or just a whispered command from her lips— and she wasn’t even at full power yet, it was just a mere 0.1 percent!

Upon locating the green-haired boy, (Y/N) tapped him on the shoulder,

“Hello! It’s nice to meet you. My name is (Y/N) (L/N)! Or just (Y/N),” she said, smiling. Midoriya grew visibly nervous and flustered. (Y/N) could practically hear his train of thought chugging on rusty tracks inside his brain.

“Nice to meet you too, (Y/N)! My name is Izuku Midoriya,” he finally replied. (Y/N) shook his hand and leaned towards his ear,

“Just a heads up, you should start running.”

(Y/N) then jumped slightly, as a digital floating skateboard of sorts corporealized instantly beneath her feet. Snapping her fingers, four drones materialized in front of her.

Mobility that’s able to be utilized in many different circumstances.

“One, go East. Two, go West. Three, go North. Four, go South.” (Y/N) ordered as the drones (equipped with lasers that could easily slice a building into clean halves) flew away.

The ability to collect information.

Looking back, (Y/N) saw Midoriya running slightly faster than the group of people behind him. So he had taken her advice. Speeding up her hoverboard, she slammed it into the ground, attracting a decent group of three-pointers.

She already had forty points from her drones, who laser-beamed ten each. So adding all that up she would have seventy from this group. Pleased, (Y/N)’s fingertips barely touched as the villains exploded, leaving only the useful pieces of what they were made of— metal, aluminum, and a bit of plastic.

Pure combat ability.

Scooping up the materials, the navy hologram popped up again as a compartment opened inside it, prompting (Y/N) to yeet all the materials into the pitch black hole-slash-void thingy.

Contestants whizzed past (Y/N) as they scrambled to get points, as (Y/N) held her hand out and her navy hologram shifted into an earpiece. Putting it on, (Y/N) jumped back on her floating skateboard and headed toward the place where the zero-pointer would be, and also where Midoriya would earn his rescue points.

“Function, lock on. Variable, Izuku Midoriya,” (Y/N) murmured as she sat on her floating skateboard, waiting for the judges to release the ginormous zero-pointer.

The girl’s earpiece glowed subtly as the screen inside showed Midoriya running for his life, or in this case, points and his life. (Y/N) chuckled softly as she hummed a song, waiting for her drones to come back.

A rumbling from the ground was heard as (Y/N)’s eyes lit up with excitement. It was finally starting. The grand finale of this entirely stupid test that anyone with half an overpowered quirk could beat in thirty minutes or less.

The zero-pointer emerged from the ground as all the contestants previously running towards the rumbling (expecting a huge wave of three-pointers or something) came screeching to a halt and started to run the other way.

(Y/N) on the other hand, just stared at it, amazed. This was the thing that was going to start the story. The adventure, or whatever you wish to call it.

“Not bad…” she muttered as she poked the zero-pointer gently. Bad idea. “Oops…”

The foot of the zero-pointer was compressed into a cube, landing in (Y/N)’s hand before swiftly getting thrown out again. The foot reconnected itself as the girl silently prayed for no one to have seen that.

Somewhere in the judges’ room, a flabbergasted panel was staring at the foot of the monster and the girl on the floating skateboard, who was currently in the process of an ‘AFK’ grind as her drones were still laser-beaming, ten, twelve three-pointers at a time.

(Y/N) activated one of her skills as the faux-villain wrecked a nearby building, sending rubble onto the running-for-my-life contestants, and also crushing a hopeless Uraraka underneath.

The girl watched from the shadows as Midoriya leaped up with his quirk, fists raised and a fiery determination within his forest-green eyes. With a single punch, the faux-villain went flying.

‘Aaand, there he goes.’ (Y/N) thought as she put her hand in front of her forehead to shield her eyes from the blinding rays of the sun while watching Midoriya free-falling through the sky.

At the last second, Uraraka managed to gather enough energy to push herself towards Midoriya, saving him mid-air while also delivering a satisfying-sounding ‘slap’ –until you realize who the hell she just slapped, of course.

An eerie yet concerned silence ensued as Present Mic announced that the exam had officially ended. Smoothly moving out from the shadows and blending into the crowd flawlessly while summoning and dismissing her drones, (Y/N) was the first to inspect Midoriya, who was lying on the ground, still shaken from what just happened.

“Hey, are you okay?” she asked as she gently prodded his only remaining functional limb.

Midoriya barely managed to give a thumbs up and a weak smile before flopping back on the ground again. So much for being ‘okay’.

Murmurs erupted as the onlooking crowd went into a frenzy discussing the fact that Midoriya one-shotted the robot without any warning. Understandable, really. Compared to his jittery self at the entrance, one would certainly not have expected the boy to launch a nuclear fist nuke at a faux villain– a zero pointer, no less.

“Yes, yes. Free gummies for everyone, eat up!” An elderly voice exclaimed sweetly as the crowds' attention was turned to the source of the voice. Another participant, also known as Yuga Aoyama, flashed a smile as he began to explain,

“That lady is the backbone of UA,” he started, grabbing no one’s attention except for maybe a select few of his friends. “-She is the Recovery Girl and is mostly the reason why UA can host these reckless and potentially dangerous exam tests.”

“Yeah, no shit, Sherlock…” (Y/N) muttered under her breath, getting annoyed by his presentation, “But can’t your sparkly-ass self not create enough light for you to see there’s a boy who just smashed three-fourths of his limbs?!”

As if on cue, Recovery Girl scooted over to Midoriya, checking him out before sighing and giving him a smooch with elongated inhuman lips. Ah, the miracles of anime.
